This work reimagines the Eight Immortals Table, one of the most representative forms in Ming-style furniture, as a form in its early stage of growth. Limited by tools and the absence of a fixed studio, the project embraces small-scale making as both a practical choice and a source of inspiration. Traditional panel construction and concealed joinery allow the table to appear as a unified body, minimizing visible cross-sections. Rather than a completed object, the table is treated as a young form—suggesting furniture not as something assembled, but as something that grows from wood through making.
